At the end of 2013 the Australian Publishers Association decided to give away the annual book design awards, which it had hosted for a venerable 61 years (making it the longest-running book design awards we know of). The designers themselves decided to form the Australian Book Designers Association (ABDA) and resusciate the awards, for Year 62. (With entry fees half that of previous years.)
